Okay, so maybe "aquarium" isn't an appropriate name for this. But who cares.
I've always been interested in deep sea life. Problem is, I have a mad fear of the ocean and large bodies of water. Approaching the topic like this is easier, safer and overall somewhat better.
In particular, I have a fondness for sharks, nautiluses, octopuses, anglerfish, and various oddities that have been discovered (pelican eels, Dinochelus ausubeli, frilled sharks and viperfish just to name a few).
I find myself to be calmed, yet unnerved by the ocean. Watching creatures moving aroud underwater brings me joy, but it's also scary that you have no idea what is out there. Only 5% of the ocean has been explored, and the fact that there is still 95% left to explore is frightening.
